Abstract

In this paper the development of a Rule-Based Power and Energy Management Strategy as a result of Markov Chain Analysis will be shown. Using real-world drive cycle data Markov Chain Transition Matrix builds from which a bias is developed showing the difference between acceleration and deceleration with respect to the next velocity as an extension to the Markov Chain. From this the parameters for PEMS are developed, simulated and the results discussed and compared to other strategies.
