Abstract

This composition focuses on one of the odder rituals that people have found themselves performing during quarantine. While there may be sound preventative reasons for 'washing the shopping', the action itself induces some anxiety, as well as a degree of therapeutic relief. Humour arises too in contemplating the prevalence of what, under normal circumstances, would be considered the exclusive domain of the obsessive compulsive.
