Sunderland Repository records the research produced by the University of Sunderland including practice-based research and theses.
SUnderland REpository (SURE) is a collection of research outputs produced at the University of Sunderland. It contains book chapters, journal articles, reports, artworks, PhD and MPhil theses, conference papers, datasets and many other items produced by researchers at the institution.
The University of Sunderland fully endorses the principles of open research and open access to research publications. SURE gives access to the diversity of research outputs that stems from the research process in all the disciplines practiced at the University of Sunderland.
SURE enables the University to share its research openly and to align with the open access requirements of the Research Excellence Framework (REF) and of funders such as UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).
As per the University's Research Publications, Open Access and Copyright policy, final peer-reviewed manuscripts of journal articles and conference papers with an ISSN should be deposited in SURE within 3 months of acceptance. For other research outputs, researchers are encouraged to deposit them as early as possible from the point of acceptance. When a full text version or representation of the research output cannot be added, then authors must deposit bibliographic information to the University research repository SURE to provide an accurate institutional record of research activity.
