Abstract
This report lays out a Just Transition Plan for West Kildare in Ireland. It is a response to the continuing uneven economic prosperity and opportunities in the area and to the direct impact of the decision by the Irish Government to cease the industrial harvesting of peat as the country's fuel needs are increasingly to be met by renewable energy.
