Biography:
My expertise centers around how children emerge with agency and show us their subjectivity in more than linguistic ways, by drawing on discursive materiality to theorize how voice can be seen and felt.
My PhD (re)presents two-year-old children's lived experiences of school readiness using an entangled framework inspired by Deleuze and Guattari, New Materialism and Posthumanism. I considered how agency might be distributed and how more-than-human matter comes to matter in classroom spaces, yielding the potential to affect and be affected, within the school readiness debate. I argued human existence is relational, an entanglement of matter and meaning. The individual emerges through and within intra-relating entanglements in space and time.
