Biography:
I am a Clinical Senior Lecturer and Senior Research Fellow with 23 years of experience working across the NHS hospitals, healthcare, pharmaceutical industry & higher academic institutions. I am alumna fellow of the UK Medical Research Council and the UK, National Institute of Health Research with a PhD in Behavioural Science (Health Service Research), a master’s degree in Clinical Research and two undergraduate degrees in Clinical and Healthcare Sciences fields.
I am skilled in conducting mixed-methods research, survey design, qualitative research, behaviour change techniques, early and late phase multi-centred/multi-national, benign and oncology clinical trials of novel therapeutic drugs and medical devices. I am experienced in developing and leading research projects and teams as well as their timely execution within the budgetary constraints.
My research interests include developing/implementing theory-based behaviour change interventions and improvement science to close the implementation gap between research and clinical practice, specifically in the field of public health, health promotion, reducing healthcare-acquired/nosocomial infections, audit & feedback interventions, enhancing patient safety and patient and public involvement.
