Biography:
Dr Theo Mojtaba Ammari is a senior lecturer in Academic Development leading on higher education assessment at the University of Sunderland in London. He achieved MSc in Pure mathematics and completed his PhD in Mathematics Education at the University of Warwick.
Dr Ammari has over 25 years of strategic experience in international higher education curriculum development and senior university management.
Between 2009 and 2015, Dr Ammari was leading two pathways of Engineering and Health & Life Sciences at OnCampus Coventry at the University of Coventry. During this period, he engaged with the curriculum development of pre-Masters and Foundation courses.

From March 2015 to March 2016, as a senior teaching fellow, he worked on a multi-million-pound strategic consultancy project between the Warwick University and Nazarbayev University in Kazakhstan, leading on an authentic mathematics and statistics curriculum.
From 2016 to 2021, as a senior lecturer in academic development, he was involved in various educational development projects at the Coventry University Academic Development team. During this period, he was leading on Education for Sustainable Development. Dr Ammari was also involved with so many other strategic projects. Since June 2021, he has been leading on the Authentic assessment and the impact of artificial intelligence tools in teaching, learning and assessment in higher education.
