SURE

Wendy has been involved in Youth and Community Work for over 14 years, championing in a strategic capacity ‘young people’s’ right to participate, e.g. as a board member of New Deal for Communities (NDC). Her practice-based experience includes generic youth work settings e.g. detached; center-based and schools, peer education and more recently as a homelessness outreach worker. Wendy is a volunteer member of sea staff with Ocean Youth Trust (OYT) since 1995. OYT provide sailing opportunities for young people (aged 11-21+) from a range of socio-economic backgrounds to experience ‘life on board’ an ocean-going yacht (including a number of vessels in The Tall Ships Race).
