Biography:
I am Professor of Health Professions Pedagogy and Scholarship in the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellbeing. I am qualified in podiatry and a Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine (Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow) and a Fellow of the College of Podiatry and General Practice (London). I undertake pedagogic research, evaluation and supervise doctoral and MSc students. In addition to my Professorial role, I have published widely on qualitative research methodologies and the development of professional practice in health. I have an active interest in transcending disciplinarity between science and arts as signature pedagogies, having published a monograph with colleagues via Routledge titled 'Beyond Disciplinarity: Historical Evolutions of Ontology, Epistemmore...
I am Professor of Health Professions Pedagogy and Scholarship in the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellbeing. I am qualified in podiatry and a Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine (Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow) and a Fellow of the College of Podiatry and General Practice (London). I am a UK Advisor in Podiatric Medicine for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons and I was awarded Honorary Fellowship by Distinction of the Faculty of Public Health in 2015 and was elected to the Royal Society of Arts in 2016. I am a member of the National Science Council's Assessment Panel and College of Podiatry's Scrutiny Panel for the award of Chartered Scientist status as part of my own work as Chartered Scientist. I was awarded National Teaching Fellowship and Fellowship of the Society for Education and Training in 2017. In 2029 I became a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management and I am a Chartered Management and Business Educator with the Academy of Business Schools.
