Biography:
I graduated from Kenyatta University in Kenya with a Bachelors of Science in Public Health, and immediately after my graduation, I joined the Ministry of Health as a Public Health Expert, where I worked in different portfolios for nine years. I later on went to pursue a Master of Public Health Degree from the same university. Additionally, I acquired a Monitoring and Evaluation Fellowship from the University of Nairobi in Kenya, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Health System Management from Galilee International Management Institute in Israel, and a Certificate of Good Clinical Practice E6 (R2) from the Global Health Networks.
I later secured funding from Tempus Public Foundation in Hungary which enabled me to travel and undertake my PhD in Health Sciences. After four years of my PhD studiemore...

After four years of my PhD studies, I successfully graduated with a summa cum laude and I was later offered a one-year Postdoctoral Research opportunity at the University of Limerick in Ireland. During my tenure in Ireland, I worked with the Health Professions Education team at the School of Medicine at the University of Limerick to carry out research on the Integration of Social Determinants of Health and Social Accountability into the Medical Education Curriculum.
Currently, I serve as a lecturer in Public Health at the University of Sunderland. I am committed to the development and delivery of educational materials for the Public Health Practitioner Degree Apprenticeship BSc (Hons) and MSc Public Health programs. My role also entails active engagement in teaching, assessment, research, and supervision of both undergraduate and MSc Public Health students.
My teaching interests and areas of research expertise include Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Public Health Policy, Global Health, Leadership and Management, Research Methods and Dissertation, Public Health Communication, Introduction to Public Health, and Primary Healthcare.
Besides, I am actively involved in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Research where I have successfully published 23 articles in peer-reviewed journals since 2020.
