SURE

I joined the staff of the University of Sunderland in September 2010. I have taught magazine journalism in several universities in England and Scotland having worked as a journalist in television, newspapers and magazines. I am on the advisory board of the journal Literary Journalism Studies. I am a founding member of the Association for Journalism Educationand currently serve on its organising committee. I am currently external examiner for the MA in Magazine Journalism at the University of Sheffield. In the past I have been external examiner for the London Metropolitan University (BA Journalism), University of Westminster (MA Journalism), the Surrey Institute (BA Journalism), and the University of Sunderland (BA Magazine Journalism).
