Expertise:

Orientalism and Nineteenth Century Orientalists, Travel Writing about the Middle East, Arab Anglophone fiction and autobiography, Islamic themes in contemporary English fiction

Biography:

Geoff is interested in European writing that has cultural links with the Middle East. He is especially concerned with the manner in which Islam is embedded in English and French writing in both Middle Eastern and European contexts. He also works on Arab-American writing.
