Public relations has been the focus of my professional life, working in various sectors, ranging from tourism and heritage to local government and health, which has shaped my thinking and perspective on PR research. There’s lots of work to be done to bridge the gap between theory and practice. I am particularly interested in theory development from public sector perspectives for which there is currently limited focus. I was a finalist in the European Public Relations Education and Research Association‘s 2022 research awards, for my work on the use of stakeholder theory in the local public sector. This was part of my own Masters Degree in Corporate Communications (2021, Distinction) from Leeds Beckett University . This research is the subject of my article published in Corporate Communications - An International Journal.
