Abstract
This chapter discusses the integration of sustainability into the Delivering Projects for Organisational Success module at the University of Sunderland’s Business School. The module was restructured to embed sustainability as a core theme of both taught content and student assignments, rather than an ancillary topic. Through a real-world consultancy-style project in collaboration with a local wildlife charity, students developed comprehensive rewilding project plans. This immersive task exposed students to the complexities and uncertainties of real-world sustainability initiatives, nurturing critical competencies in systems thinking, stakeholder engagement, and ethical considerations. The chapter evaluates the pedagogical outcomes, provides a framework for fellow educators, and reflects on lessons learned for future sustainability education practices.
