Abstract

An outdoor group exhibition of work produced through NHS Darkroom, an ongoing participatory photography research project led by Johannah Churchill in partnership with Newcastle Hospitals Charity and the University of Sunderland. Photographs made by NHS healthcare staff during darkroom workshops at the University of Sunderland's Northern Centre of Photography were displayed outdoors at Crawford House, a Newcastle Hospitals site, making the work visible to staff, patients and visitors passing through the hospital grounds. The exhibition ran for approximately six months from March 2025.
