Abstract

In October 2023, the Gaia Foundation launched a nationwide billboard campaign exhibition for We Feed The UK, a storytelling initiative pairing photographers and poets with regenerative farmers across the UK. Churchill's photograph of farmer Stuart Johnson at West Wharmley Farm, Hexham, was selected for the campaign, appearing on billboards across the country in the north, south, east and west. The campaign marked the public debut of Churchill's commission for We Feed The UK, produced in partnership with NEPN at the University of Sunderland.
