Abstract
Critical insights into the education of teachers is an edited collection representing the collective expertise of staff across the School of Education. Who better to write about the education of teachers than the teacher educators who teach them? Drawing on practitioner experience, we explore themes including assessment reconceived as a research and learning process, critical and relational pedagogy, personalised and experiential approaches, the role of technology and AI, and curriculum innovation. Our work is grounded in the realities of educating teachers in diverse and international contexts. This presentation will share key highlights from the work in progress, offering a glimpse into the ideas and perspectives taking shape across the collection and inviting further conversation about the themes emerging from our collaborative practice.
