Have you ever seen a Molecule?

Wheeler, Shirley (2010) Have you ever seen a Molecule? In: Have You Ever Seen a Molecule? Art, Science and Visual Communication, 25 - 26 Mar 2010, Centre for Research in Arts, Social Science and Humanities (CRASSH), Cambridge. (Unpublished)

Item Type: Conference or Workshop Item (Keynote)

Abstract

Wheeler delivered a keynote lecture and curated a small accompanying exhibition of work to highlight the themes of the conference. The lecture focused and reflected on research by Wheeler on the impact of the interactions established during the previous Design4Science project and her subsequent research into the impact of this interdisciplinary work, suggesting ways forward for developing stronger links particularly between design and molecular biology. Juxtaposing varied understandings about this subject and presenting them through imaginative curatorial practice has brought challenging insights to both the creative work of designers like Wheeler and the work of scientists.
