Alistair Robinson has more than 20 years’ experience as a newspaper arts editor and critic. He has also worked as a national magazine columnist, freelance journalist, books editor for a publishing company, public relations writer, professional musician and guitar teacher, and poet-in-residence.
A graduate of Durham University, he has won awards for feature, news and creative writing and has written three books on cultural history and two collections of poetry.
He has worked full time at Sunderland University since January 2008, but was an academic tutor for three years before that. He is the programme leader for BA (Hons) Journalism and BA (Hons) News Journalism.
