Abstract
'Not Exhibiting photography' uses recent and past examples of the photographic work of John Kippin that have been developed for non gallery and alternative public spaces. The presentation discusses the ideology of the white cube space and develops a rhetorical line that explores the potential and value of displaying photographic work within a broader public sphere.
