Abstract
As with most institutions, the prevalence of Generative AI tools, e.g. ChatGPT, has led academics to question how they can use these tools in their learning, and how to ensure assessment submissions retain authenticity.
We will discuss student attitudes to, and the impact of Generative AI tools with students across campus. An anonymised qualitative survey has been provided to our students. We will present preliminary results of this survey, including how students have used these tools to enhance their understanding of key fundamental aspects of their modules and whether they have considered using, generative AI to help with their assessments.
