Abstract

This study explores how Knowledge Management (KM) is conceptualised and deployed to develop Asset Management Practice (AMP) in the Nigerian public sector using a qualitative approach. Applying system thinking and organisational development theories, this study found that KM is not recognised or established while AMP is still developing within the various critical institutions and organisations in the public sector in Nigeria. This study is novel for developing a framework underscoring how KM can impact the conceptualisation and development of AMP in organisation.

Keywords: Knowledge Management (KM), Asset Management Practice (AMP), Development, Public Sector, Nigeria.
