Abstract
This chapter analyzes the implementation of the United Nations' 2015 SDGs and the obstacles encountered throughout their execution. The 17 SDGs provide a comprehensive framework for tackling and resolving crucial concerns such as gender parity, poverty, food insecurity, public health, education, and climate change. The main impediments to achieving these goals by 2025 are social conflicts, financial constraints, official apathy, and corruption. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the already strained global healthcare systems. Education is given priority as a crucial factor in promoting sustainable development, fostering critical thinking skills, preserving the environment, promoting sustainable ways of living, and encouraging active participation in society. The chapter promotes the incorporation of sustainable development principles into curriculum and highlights the importance of international collaboration in reducing the disparity between industrialized and developing nations.
