Abstract

I am part time Senior Lecturer and Subject Leader in Architectural Glass at the University of Sunderland. I have my own architectural glass practice, Watkinson Glass Associates. While the roles of Senior Lecturer and that of artist/designer/maker are quite distinct, there are many areas which overlap. This occurs in the context of research, how this informs my teaching and my own continued professional development. My specific areas of responsibility are broad and varied including responsibility for architectural glass across the whole glass department.
