Biography:
I received my bachelor’s degree in English Linguistics and Literature from the University of Vigo in 2004 and my M.A. in comparative medieval literature in 2006, for which I wrote a dissertation entitled The Grail Knight in medieval English and German literature: Parzival and Le Morte D’Arthur.
The same year I obtained a Master's Degree in Teaching in Secondary Schools, Vocational Training and Language Centres. In 2006 I left Spain and moved to Newcastle upon Tyne where I currently live, and since then I have worked for several institutions and Universities in the North East, including Durham University, The North East Centre for Lifelong Learning and Gosforth Academy. I currently work as a senior lecturer in Spanish, and tutor in History, at the University of Sunderland and I am also a literature and history tutor at the Joseph Cowen Centre for Lifelong Learning in Newcastle.
My research interests include Old English language and literature, Spanish literature and film, comparative literature, the study of cinematic adaptations of medieval texts and literary translation.
I have been a visitor researcher at the Universities of Durham and Oxford.
