Abstract

This memorandum was compiled as a result of a discussion between Edward A. Shanken, Nicolas Östlind, Emma Lewis, Lizzie Homersham, Dan Holdsworth, Michael Reisch and the team at Montabonel & Partners.
The text raises questions around the impact of a changing media paradigm on the practices of museums and galleries, which influence collection management, acquisitions, and conservation practices, as well as curatorial activities.
