Abstract

In this Keynote address, I will explore the idea of Selfscapes to a more-than human-world.

I will look at a few examples of my earlier work and then trace the subsequent (and I argue logical) development of a link between linguistic, visual and musical notation/expression in the work.

I will then discuss how collaborative, practice-based research has led the development of the project.

Finally, and in the main part of this talk/discussion, I will focus in on one project – Singing the World – a collaborative project between myself, composer and musician Bennett Hogg, printmaker Alex Charrington of Charrington Editions, Glass-maker Ayako Tani, Multi-media artist Andrew Richardson and poet Jake Campbell.
