Kinga Lovell is a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the University of Sunderland and Programme Leader for the BA (Hons) Accounting and Financial Management Top-Up programme.
With over 15 years of experience in accounting and finance, her career spans both public and private sector organisations, including roles as a finance coordinator, accountant, and finance business partner. This experience informs a practical, real-world perspective that underpins her teaching and research.
Kinga is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and holds two MSc degrees: Financial Management from the University of Science and Technology (AGH) in Krakow, and Marketing Management from Teesside University.

She explores how game-based approaches can enhance student motivation, engagement, and perceived performance in accounting and finance education. In addition, she is interested in the digital transformation of the accounting landscape, particularly the role of AI, as well as developments in sustainable accounting and reporting.
