Abstract
Zig Zag Orange is a large painting that connects inside with outside. Commissioned for the MIMA Kitchen, its design echoes the building's architecture. Small windows become portals to the world beyond. For Lothar Goetz, bringing art into everyday life through moments of public beauty is a political gesture.
Goetz expands drawing into three dimensions through site-specific public murals. He explores how colour and patterns interact to evoke emotion and imagination, altering our experience of space and place.
