Abstract
Drew discusses the history, development and work of Hidayah, a nationwide organisation for LGBTQI+ Muslims in the UK. He outlines their work, their progress and future goals and will encourage participants to hear real case studies of the lives and lived experiences of LGBTQI+ Muslims and the unique issues that they face in their communities.
Drew Dalton is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Sunderland. He has spent the past twenty years in charity management working with vulnerable adults and children, as a human rights, HIV and LGBTQI+ rights campaigner.
