Abstract
This chapter argues, with the help of illustrations, that football sectarianism is morally impermissible, and that its primary explanation is the dominant culture of fandom and not sectarianism in broader Scottish or Glaswegian society. Objections to the moral argument are considered and rejected. The Offensive Behaviour and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Act 2012 is endorsed. The chapter concludes with the argument that there are compelling grounds for magnanimity towards the flammable baggage carried by each half of the Old Firm.
