Abstract
The work displayed will include original drawings on paper using acrylic ink and watercolour and paintings on board. I am interested in investigating systems of chance and order. I use serial compositions of repeated marks, and geometries within a grid to create a sense of repetition within variation. This rhythm creates a kind of notation or calligraphy that can be read as a kind of gestural visual script registering duration, movement, interdependence between things; change and mutability; or the shifting patterns of light and shade.
