Abstract

A celebration of the Tall Ships race which Sunderland will host in 2018 and the launch of an illustrated book by former Tall Ships sail trainee Naomi Austin.

The exhibition will feature Naomi’s own digital illustrations depicting 3 different areas Sunderland’s shipbuilding past; the history of the Tall Ships Race and the experiences of past and present sail trainees.

As well as Naomi’s illustrations it will include her own photographs of past Tall Ships Races right up to the Race finale which she attended in Poland in August 2017.
