Abstract

This book began with a conversation. While we come from different professional backgrounds and are at varying stages of our careers, the four editors were united by a shared recognition: that LGBTQ+ leadership in education remains underexplored, underacknowledged and too often underestimated—even by those enacting it. What started as a reflective dialogue about our own experiences and research findings quickly evolved into a wider commitment to amplify the voices of LGBTQ+ educators who are leading across the United Kingdom’s early years, primary, secondary and tertiary sectors. We are delighted that this book forms part of the Critical Insights into LGBTQ+ Inclusive Education Book Series.
