Abstract

James Hutchinson

Red AI series, 2025

Acrylic paint on canvas

Following on from his series AI Made Me Paint Again, Red AI is an attempt to explore the prescribed genocide in Gaza through paint. Hutchinson has exhibited extensively including Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead; Fridericianum, Kassel, Germany; and South London Gallery, London. He studied Painting at Chelsea School of Art and has an MA from the Royal College of Art in Printmaking.

Hutchinson is Programme Leader for MA Visual Practice at the University of Sunderland.
