Abstract

Lothar Götz’s joyful public artwork on Towner Eastbourne’s modernist-inspired building has set a new image of Eastbourne that has been shared across the world.

This varied publication celebrates 5 years of the landmark artwork and its joyful impact on the south coast.

It includes commissioned texts by architect Charles Holland and curator Deborah Smith and a specially conducted interview between Lothar Götz and Dance Diagonal curator Noelle Collins, along with never-before-seen professional images of the work and social media images by many members of the public who captured the artwork online.
