Abstract

The article describes the restructuring of the management team at the University of Sunderland Library Service. Key drivers and the rationale for change are described; the thinking underpinning and the development of a new service shape is outlined paying particular attention to a model based on collaboration, co-dependency and liberated leadership. Synergies with established service values and culture are identified and early benefits of the change highlighted.
