Broeg, Ralf (2016) 3 Modellräume. Permanent public installation, opening 2016, Underground Station, Heinrich-Heine-Allee, Düsseldorf, Germany.

Item Type: Show/Exhibition

Abstract

Ralf Brög’s series of works and collaborations that animate the Heinrich-Heine–Allee station on the Wehrhahnline play a much more subtly sophisticated game than so much art commissioned for public transport stations, which all too often appears to be chosen to supply a one-liner visual message – its mission to merely memorably brand a station: a signifier of identity one step removed from signage itself.
