Abstract
This talk draws on examples from across the spectrum of current Wikimedia work in the UK and
looks at questions of equity, representation and decolonisation praxis. Examining methods of
work, including labelling, acquiring and displaying images, and adding new articles to English
Wikipedia, this talk will explore what it is to edit Wiki in today’s context, where the barriers and
pitfalls can lie, and how we can work together to best surmount these and create a more
equitable digital space for open knowledge.
