Abstract
We would like to write some lines to warmly welcome our colleagues to the annual Teaching and Learning Symposium 2022 at the University of Sunderland in London. It is the second series of the Symposium that was held in the London campus. As always many members of the TELS at UOSIL community look forward to meeting, sharing and exchanging their research ideas and results in both a formal and informal setting which the conference provides. At the same time, the concept of alternating the international conference every year on the London campus is now well established. This year’s event in London, United Kingdom, continues with the cultural following the very successful and productive event held in London in 2021 in the field of Pedagogy, teaching, and learning. As usual the Symposium brings together leading academics, researchers and education practitioners to exchange ideas, views and the latest research in the field of Teaching and Learning. The theme of this event TELS UOSIL the Teaching and Learning Symposium 2022 is “Coming out of a Pandemic: Lesson Learnt, Innovative Teaching & Learning Insights”. It represents a highly challenging area of research and practice for both academics and practitioners alike. After the terrible COVID pandemic that swept the world in 2020-2021, while campuses are getting busy with students again, many academic institutions are reflecting on how they can implement best practices and improve students’ experience by making experiences from the lessons we learned during the pandemic. Potential authors were invited to submit an abstract to the International Conference Session Chairs. All abstracts were reviewed by three experts from the committee and final papers were further reviewed by this volume with 20 contributions during the conference from colleagues coming from different institutions.
